WHAT: Andrew McGilvray, the Executive Secretary of the Foreign-Trade Zones Board, will travel to
Boston to meet with grantees from the New England and Upstate New York region.
The morning session will involve a true dialogue with grantees, including on ways the FTZ program could be improved to
assist grantees. Andrew also plans to discuss with the participating grantees a concept for more flexible designation of
FTZ sites to better meet communities' and companies' needs.
The afternoon session will involve training on key aspects of the FTZ program, including grantees' responsibilities
under the FTZ Act and Regulations. The entire day will conducted in an informal manner with ample opportunities for
questions and discussion. This a unique, not-be-missed opportunity to learn and have a real voice in improving the FTZ
program!
